LEDA Group began life as a social policy research consultancy in 1983, providing a package of services to local authorities, government departments, the private, voluntary and academic sectors.

Our province has always been the arena of social disadvantage, irrespective of the fashionable titles, latest policy initiatives or contemporary government orthodoxy under which it goes. Our research experience is considerable and ranges from transnational projects and high visibility fund-raising to fine-scale studies requiring a finger on the pulse of local opinion.

Although its Director – Michael Rollins – came out of an academic background, LEDA Group’s interests consistently focus on the “jagged edges of reality” rather than the smooth contours of academic reasoning.
